That’s enough time to make a difference, but not so long that you get stuck. enough to avoid stagnation.
3. Audit Your Growth Every 6 Months
Ask yourself:
Am I still being challenged?
Am I learning something new—or repeating what I already know?
Is my scope expanding—or just my workload?
4. Decide Before the Market Decides for You
Six months before your milestone, step back.
This is where courage comes in.
Do I stay and scale? Or move and stretch?
Because if you don’t choose, circumstances will.
An exit plan doesn’t make you restless. It makes you intentional.
You push yourself beyond comfort.
You stay externally relevant, not just internally valuable
You build strategic visibility in the market.
You say no more confidence. You shift your mindset from focusing on security to focusing on growth.
It shifts your mindset from:
“I hope they promote me.”
to
