How does struggle lead to success? This is a question that has come to me so many times, and it reminds me of this beautiful story. There was a museum, which was laid with beautiful marble tiles and had a huge marble statue displayed in the middle of the lobby. Many people would come from all over the world just to admire this beautiful marble statue.
One night, the marble tile started talking to the marble statue, and the marble tile said,"Hey, marble statue! It's just not fair. It's just not fair. Why does everybody from all over the world come all the way here just to step on me while admiring you?"
So the marble statue said,"My dear friend, marble tile, do you still remember that we were actually from the same cave?"
The marble tile replied,"Yes, and that's why I feel it even more unfair! If we were born from the same cave, yet we received different treatments, that's not fair."
So the marble statue said,"Well, I'm sure you also remember the day when the designer tried to work on you, but you resisted the tools."
The marble tile said,"Yes, of course I remember.I hate that guy!How could he use those tools on me?It hurt me so bad."
The marble statue replied,"That's right. He couldn't work on you at all because you resisted being worked on.When he decided to give up on you and start working on me instead, I knew at once that I would be something different. After his efforts, I did not resist his tools.Instead, I bore all the painful tools that he used on me."
"My friend, there is a price to everything in life.Since you decided to give up halfway, he used those tools on me.So, you can't blame anybody who steps on you now."
