You might have read this in my books, to grow upward, you have to give up.

When I completed my business management, I had two job offers-one in a fortune five hundred company with great benefits and a winning team and a wonderful office to go to, and another in a small company that was expanding and with no extra benefits or a big team or great office to go to. Strangely, I went in for the small company. I don’t know why but it just came from within me.

This one decision helped me mainly in my career later. I gave up the temptation of a big company, more salary, for what I can gain tomorrow.

Many people take what is at hand and they feel that it is best that they could get. They feel that they must take the same trajectory of success which is to get into a big company and be amongst a big team.

There are a lot of different ways of becoming successful. You have got to know what you can give up.

Giving up is a good thing when you are willing to give up your limiting beliefs, your old habits that no longer serve you, your comfort zone, and your perceptions.

Here's what you can do:

Make a list of three things that you are willing to give up to grow upward.
